A lovely old house for our night in St. Pons, run by an English couple, but the wife was away in Madrid, so her Marie was a little flustered about dealing with three sets of guests. Back to French cuisine here, the “Croix Blanche” around the corner from the B&B – Rilettes de Poisson, Trout in brown butter with almonds, Chestnut ice cream with chantilly and apricot bavoise.

A warm sunny day today and a long walk ahead, 25km to our apartment for 3 nights in Mons-La-Trivalle.

Mons is a tiny village with one grocery shop, one restaurant and one pub open. Some souvenir shops also, but the season is over, gladly. We have this apartment, on the top floor.

We have a restful couple of days, do some walking in the hills, cook some local produce (pink garlic, courgettes, big tomatoes), sleep and read. I very much like this small restful place.
